The divine hit Kantara is getting a new chapter, but it's not a sequel. 'Kantara: Chapter 1' takes us back to the reign of the Kadambas to tell the origin of the legend.
Plot: Into the Past
Set in 300-400 AD, this film explores the time when the Panjurli Daiva (spirit) was first invoked. The teaser shows Rishab Shetty in a much more primal, warrior-like avatar, covered in blood and standing in a cave.
Seven Languages
Unlike the first part which started small, Chapter 1 is being made as a Pan-India spectacle from day one, releasing in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, and English.
The Visual Upgrade
With a significantly higher budget, the forest sequences and the divine 'Bhoota Kola' elements are expected to be visually stunning, blending history with folklore.
